A Pomchi is a cross between a Pomeranian and a Chihuahua. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and understand that you can get any combination of the characteristics found in either breed.

A Pomchi is a cross between a Pomeranian and a Chihuahua. These little dogs can have sassy and playful personalities. They bond closely with their families and are loving and affectionate with them.

Temperament

Pomchis are loving little dogs that bond closely with their favorite humans and love nothing more than being near them. Socialization and training early and often are important as these dogs can have a diva attitude that results in aggression, nervousness, etc. if they are not properly socialized. As long as they are well-socialized and well-trained, they tend to get along well with children that know how to properly interact with small dogs as well as other dogs and pets in the family. They can be initially suspicious of strange people and animals, but tend to warm up once introduced. These little dogs are also vocal and prone to barking a lot. You may not be able to stop barking completely, but if you train your dog to stop barking early on, you can keep this from becoming a nuisance behavior.
