Overview
A Miniature Norwegian Elkhound is a cross between a Norwegian Elkhound and a Pomeranian. The goal of this cross is to pair the friendly nature and working dog skills of the Elkhound with the small size and friendly, affectionate personality of the Pom.
Temperament
Mini Elkhounds tend to be affectionate, loving dogs with friendly, playful personalities. They can be reserved around strangers, but tend to warm up quickly as long as they have been properly socialized.
These dogs tend to get along well with children and other dogs. They can inherit a high prey drive and urge to chase from their Elkhound parent, so you will want to be prepared for extra socialization and training if there are smaller pets in the household.
